Duo Lampe & Provan
These two Australian musicians met in the early 90s in Amsterdam and have since performed in numerous different formations, both within the Amsterdam scene, but also with Belgian percussionist Chris Joris in the Lampe/Joris quartet. The Duo’s music is a mix of jazz, grooves, perplexing melodic lines and atmospheric textures, based on improvisations and their own compositions.
Felicity Provan received a composition commission from the NFPK last year.

Tetzepi is a large ensemble of 15 persons and searches within her ensemble for new forms of improvisation and the use of electronics. In smaller groups, especially electronics and improvisation ideas are explored/prepared to be used later in the large ensemble. A performance that shows what the Tetzepi music of tomorrow will be. The Electrumpet is an invention of Hans Leeuw. Sensors and a normal trumpet are integrated to create a new hybrid instrument that can be played electronically and acoustically simultaneously.
