Jan Bang is a Norwegian musician and record producer, known from several albums and collaborations over many years with musicians like Sidsel Endresen, Jon Hassell, Tigran Hamasyan, Nils Petter Molvær, Eivind Aarset, Arve Henriksen and Erik Honoré – the latter of which he co-founded the Punkt festival with in 2005.

Markus Stockhausen is one of the most versatile musicians of our time. He is equally at home in jazz as in contemporary and classical music. For about 25 years he worked closely with his father, the composer Karlheinz Stockhausen, who composed many beautiful works for him.

Gunda Gottschalk from Wuppertal, after all the birthplace of German improvised music, is not only a virtuoso and internationally performing violinist, but also an organizer of concerts and artist residencies in the famous 'Ort', the former workplace of the late Peter Kowald, one of the founders of improvised music in the 60s and 70s. 

He is known for his mastery as a tablet player and his exciting collaborations with others musicians such as Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Lakshmi Shankar, Pt. Budhaditya Mukherjee, and outside India also with Mari Boine (Noorwegen), Mola Syla (Senegal), Eric Voeimans, Ernst Reisiger, Eric Vaarzon Morel and many others. He played at international festivals and also at the royal house.

He is an explorative musician who takes new paths in world music based on his traditions. Although he has a deep respect for his teacher Hariprasad Chaurasia, he does not follow in his footsteps. Like a true bridge builder, he connects with musicians from all styles that are appealing to him.

Christian is one of the few drummers who have found their own musical language. His original drumming, rich in timbre, allows him to perform the rare balancing act that distinguishes him in very different musical styles. His projects range from modern jazz to world music, from experimental electronics and pop music to classical music.

After recordings with the Brötzmann Oktett (Machine Gun, 1968) and Manfred Schoof (European Echoes, 1969) 1970 saw the birth of what is probably Europe's best-known trio, the Trio Brötzmann/van Hove/Bennink, with Han Bennink. His Musica Libera groups since 1980 have included Paul Rutherford, Radu Malfatti, Günter Sommer, Evan Parker, Barry Guy, Marilyn Crispell, among others.
