Tom Arthurs

Former BBC New Generation Artist, and participant in Take Five Europe, the work of trumpeter, flügelhornist and composer Tom Arthurs situates itself between large scale commissions for orchestra and beyond, rich and intimate chamber jazz, and experimental, beautiful and intriguing improvised music. Recent recordings include Julia Hülsmann Quartet (ECM, 2013), Eric Schaefer’s ‘Who’s Afraid of Richard W.’ (ACT, 2013), Miles Perkin Quartet (2012), H3B Songs No Songs (Abalone, 2012) and Postcards from Pushkin with Richard Fairhurst (Babel, 2011).

Jan Bang

From his work as successful pop producer in the 1990s his creative thrust and pioneering work in developing the concept of live remix- improvising with electronics alongside more conventional instruments and performers – has led today to him being constantly in-demand as producer and performer. Samadhisound releases Uncommon Deities, a reinvention of David Sylvian’s audiovisual installation, produced by Jan Bang and Erik Honoré and featuring performances by David Sylvian, Arve Henriksen and Sidsel Endresen on September 14th 2012 in two versions (CD and Deluxe).

Stevko Busch

Since 1995, Stevko Busch has formed a duet with the award-winning Dutch alto saxophonist Paul van Kemenade, with whom he released interpretations of Russian orthodox chants on the album Contemplation (DNL2010) in April 2010. In his recent quartet FUGARA with Paul van Kemenade, Markus Stockhausen en Markku Ounaskari his music comes out in the purest form. (album FUGARA; DNL2012)

Samuel Rohrer

His flexibility and capability to move around effortlessly in different styles, from atmospheric and free sounds to straight and energetic grooves, make him a very dynamical drummer in the European music scene today. Performances and recordings amongst others with artists such as Vincent Courtois, Daniel Erdmann, Peter Herbert, Skuli Sverrisson, Frank Möbus, Sidsel Endresen, Jan Bang, Matthieu Michel, Mark Feldman, Michel Portal, Claudio Puntin, Ferenc Snetberger, Joao Paulo, Markus Stockhausen,…He recorded different albums for ECM, Intakt, HatHut and others, and built his own label arjunamusic in 2012.
