On June 6, 2021, at 11:00, the presentation of the Karel van de Woestijne Poetry Prize and Public Prize will take place in De Oude Brouwerij, Sint-Martens-Latem, Ghent, Belgium. The nominees for the Karel van de Woestijne Poetry Award have already been announced on 1 August 2020: Anneke Brassinga, Rozalie Hirs, Jan Lauwereyns, Hester Knibbe and Peter Verhelst. Due to the pandemic the ceremony had to be postponed until June 6, 2021.

Climate marathon

The Klimaatdichters present a poetry marathon around the climate crisis. The marathon is put together by the core group, consisting of, among others, Saskia Stehouwer, Annelie David and Moya de Feyter. During the marathon, all the poets will read the poem they wrote for Swim Lessons for Later (Antwerp: Uitgeverij Vrijdag, 2020). Rozalie Hirs reads her poem droom van land 2071.
