Dante Boon (1973) is a Dutch composer and pianist living in Amsterdam. He was co-founder of the Pianolab at the Goethe Institute and gave several concerts in the series. His choice for ‘InnerTimeSpace’ includes compositions from 1890 to the present.

At the age of 14 Dante Boon began his piano studies at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam. At the Royal Conservatory in The Hague he studied composition with Diderik Wagenaar.

After a few years as keyboardist and arranger for a large Dutch rock band, he returned to the classical, mainly contemporary piano repertoire.

With Samuel Vriezen he recorded Tom Johnson’s Symmetries (piano four hands) for Karnatic Lab Records. Recordings for other labels include Rozalie Hirs (Attacca Records) and Philip Corner (New World Records).

His first solo CD cage.frey.freeze.feldman.ayres.johnson.manion was released in 2010 on Edition Wandelweiser Records and received international recognition.
