Their way of playing jazz and improvisation in a setting of chambermusik founded what you can call the "European way".

Philipp Rüttgers is a german pianist from Arnhem (NL).
He is using Bartoks composition as given form for his improvisation. The different original parts from No. 138 are mainly kept in order, though Philipp is using his own way of shaping this tune. Sometimes relating to other pieces from the Mikrokosmos, sometimes adding his own ingredients.
