Jorge Pardo - flute, based in Madrid, was a member of the Paco de Lucia quintet for almost 20 years. Played with all great musicians in flamenco and jazz e.g. Carles Benavent, Camerón, Chick Corea. Awarded "Best European Jazz Musician 2013" by the French Jazz Academy" ( bio )


Dinesh Mishra - bansuri, based in Mumbai, after his studies with Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia developed a fusion of Indian and European music. As artist in residence at Akademie der Kulturen in Germany during the past 6 years he played with musicians from both cultures, e.g. Markus Stockhausen, Hanif Khan, and many others. (more...)


Afra Mussawisade - percussion, born in 1973 in Teheran (Iran) as son of a famous painter and grew up surrounded by artists and musicians. He was first educated in Persian classical percussion by Arjang Kamkar and the Tonbak-Master Farhangfar. In 1983 he immigrated to Germany where he played piano, cello and started to learn about drums of various cultures.  The musical communication with other musicians is to Afra both “a fascination” and “a great source of joy”. “Mussawisade is a sheer wizard on his extended percussion set, contributing subtle accompaniment as well as overwhelming virtuosity” (xxx)


Pandit Sandip Bhattacharya - tabla, voice, born in Benares and based in Amsterdam for 30 years, studied with Pandit Ravi Shankar among others, and performed Indian classical music alongside many of its greatest exponents, including Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Prabha Atre, Pandit V.G. Jog, Pandit Buddhadev Dasgupta, Lakshmi Shankar, Shujaat Hussain Khan, and many others. He has played on all important festivals, also jazz and world music festivals. Western musicians he played with are Mari Boine, Ernst Reisiger


Stevko Busch - piano, electric piano, born near Cologne, based in Arnhem after long time in Amsterdam, loves to improvise with European elements. He did so with Russian Orthodox music in his Duo with alto saxophonist Paul van Kemenade, and his Quartet FUGARA with Markus Stockhausen, Markku Ounaskari and Paul van Kemenade, with concerts all over Europe and Russia. ( bio )
